March 13 Media Conference will be followed by opportunities for individual interviews
HARTFORD, CT.–Faith Communities Today (FACT) will release its formal report, called "Faith Communities in the U.S. Today" at a media conference on March 13.
Print and electronic journalists are urged to attend. Co-Directors Carl Dudley and David Roozen will present the most comprehensive picture of U.S. churches, synagogues, mosques and other bodies ever developed. Representatives of many of the 41 faith groups will be on hand to answer questions.
Journalists will receive a 60-page report filled with graphs and charts that deal with many issues of current interest:
- Why are congregations growing in particular area?
- What style of worship leads to growth?
- Will "charitable choice" work?
- When do congregations "fight"?
- Are seminaries training leaders to encourage change?
Journalists will receive names and contact information of prominent leaders of the 41 faith communities who are prepared to respond to questions about the FACT research in their denomination or group. Additional information will appear on the FACT website: http://fact.hartsem.edu.
