The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) is a theologically liberal religious group. It was officially incorporated as an organization in 1961 as a result of the consolidation of the Universalist Church of American and the American Unitarian Association. In 2002, the UUA had approximately 214,000 members with over 1000 congregations in the United States.
The Unitarian Universalist Association participation in FACT2000 included a survey of all 992 congregations in the United States. A total of 497 questionnaires were returned for a 50.1% response rate. View the version of the questionnaire used by the Unitarian Universalist Association. The denomination also participated in FACT2005. Its report can be found at http://www.uua.org/leaders/leaderslibrary/demographics/fact/57694.shtml.
